About Me

Hello and welcome!  My name is Jenna Gross and I am an associate marriage and family therapist completing hours towards licensure.  I currently work at a private practice in Thousand Oaks, CA where I am supervised by Johanna Jones MFT #48902.  I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, particularly with adult children of narcissistic parents.

I graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  I completed my Masters of Arts in Psychology at Phillips Graduate University, where I completed my professional thesis project titled:"Ghosts of Childhood Past: Pathological Narcissism as a Defense Mechanism and its Impact on Future Generations."

When I think of trauma therapy, I think of Kintsugi, the Japanese practicing of repairing broken pottery with gold.  Like broken pottery, we may feel broken, cracked, and cut off from parts of ourselves we once knew, or are longing to know.  By reconnecting fractured parts of ourselves and mending them together with "gold", we can create new version of ourselves no longer defined by our broken pieces.
